Yes. A rental means a vehicle is handed over to a person for days at a time, so both sides need to know who the other is. The same account also lets you bid at auction or list a vehicle of your own.
From the rental company's own published rates, by the platform rather than by hand. Part days round up, and the weekly or monthly rate is used automatically wherever it beats counting days. The figure is stored on your booking when you place it, so it cannot change between the quote and the invoice.
It is not extra. It confirms the booking and counts towards the rental. Until it is confirmed the vehicle is only held for you, not booked. If the hold lapses or the booking is declined, anything you paid comes back in full.
As soon as your booking is confirmed. It is not on the listing on purpose: publishing it would turn every booking into a phone call that never touched the platform, and then the dates, the price and the terms would be recorded nowhere.
Until you place a booking, yes. Once you do, those dates are held and the database refuses any overlapping booking outright, so two people cannot end up holding the same vehicle for the same days.
