660cc hatchback · Lahore
Lahore's cheapest way to be mobile, and the easiest car to buy badly. Every Suzuki Alto we auction has been through our 135 point inspection first, so you can compare cars on evidence instead of on how well the advert was written.
The Alto does one job extremely well: it moves a small family around Lahore for very little money. Low token tax, genuinely good fuel economy, a tiny footprint for tight society lanes, and parts at every workshop in the city.
It is also the model where buyers get caught most often. Altos are frequently first cars bought on a tight budget, which means deferred servicing, cheap replacement parts and accident repairs done as economically as possible. On a car this affordable, a bad example wipes out the saving within a year.
Every car we inspect gets the same 135 point inspection, but each model has its own weak points and its own ways of hiding them. On the Suzuki Alto our inspectors pay particular attention to the items listed here, and every one of them appears on the published report.
For city driving it is genuinely easier, but the automated manual needs its clutch actuator to be healthy. We road test it in stop-start conditions and report exactly how it behaves.
Assume tyres, a battery and an AC service unless the report says otherwise. Those three cover most of what an owner has usually been putting off.
Our own team, using a 135 point checklist covering engine, transmission, body, electricals, suspension, brakes, tyres, air conditioning and the registration file. The full report is published on the listing before bidding opens.
