Compact sedan · Lahore
The default Lahore sedan: easy to sell, easy to service, easy to live with. Every Honda City we auction has been through our 135 point inspection first, so you can compare cars on evidence instead of on how well the advert was written.
The City is the car Lahore defaults to when it wants a sedan without an argument. Parts are everywhere, every mechanic in the city has worked on one, and the resale is so predictable that people buy them partly as a place to park money.
That popularity is also the risk. Because there are so many for sale, there are plenty of tired ones wearing fresh paint, and plenty of odometers that have been persuaded backwards. On a car this common, the inspection report is the only thing that separates one listing from another.
Every car we inspect gets the same 135 point inspection, but each model has its own weak points and its own ways of hiding them. On the Honda City our inspectors pay particular attention to the items listed here, and every one of them appears on the published report.
The 1.5 Aspire tends to hold value best, with the manual 1.3 close behind because it is cheap to maintain. Condition and documentation still move the price more than the badge does.
Not inherently, but the transmission needs to have been serviced on schedule. We road test it warm and report how it shifts, which is where a neglected CVT gives itself away.
Our own team, using a 135 point checklist covering engine, transmission, body, electricals, suspension, brakes, tyres, air conditioning and the registration file. The full report is published on the listing before bidding opens.
